Galileo

Overview

An unorthodox biopic of Italian polymath Galileo Galilei, spanning from his religious calling as a young boy, when he was sent to the monastery school of Santa Maria di Vallombrosa after his family moved to Florence in 1574, to his successes at the University of Padua that included discovering Jupiter's four largest moons and Venus' phases, his love with partner Marina Gamba with whom he had three children and, finally, the torment of choosing between faith and reason.
