Biography

Andria Balanchivadze (ანდრია ბალანჩივაძე) was a Georgian music composer. He was the son of opera singer and music composer Meliton Balanchivadze (მელიტონ ბალანჩივაძე). He began began studying music in Leningrad, and after the 1917 Bolshevik coup, his family returned to Georgia. From 1921 to 1925, he studied at the Tbilisi Conservatory.
