Biography

Sid Krofft (born Cydus Yolas, July 30, 1929 — April 10, 2026) was a Canadian television creator, writer, and puppeteer. Alongside his younger brother Marty, he produced numerous children's television and variety show programs in the U.S., particularly in the 1970s, including H.R. Pufnstuf, Land of the Lost, and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. The duo's fantasy programs often featured large-headed puppets, high-concept plots, and extensive use of low-budget special effects.
