Marlene and Genésio end up on different cruises. Genésio discovers that Marlene is Moacir's daughter.

Jurema Hall is finally opening its doors, and the region is eagerly anticipating the big party. There isn't a single resident of São Gonçalo who wants to miss the event. But wanting to go doesn't always mean being able to.

Marlene announces that she is going to get breast implants.

Marlene manages to bring Josy back to the salon.

Marlene discovers that Genésio is her competitor; Moacir says he will file for divorce to be with Celma; Moacir and Celma get intimate and are caught in the act; Marlene commits a gaffe at an awards ceremony; Bigode is arrested; Moacir finds out his wife has been shot; Josy gets Bigode out of jail; Marlene apologizes to Genésio.

Under suspicious circumstances, Congressman Moacir’s wife dies during a robbery. Living in a perpetual state of campaigning, he turns the wake into an opportunity to drum up votes, yet not everyone is convinced the incident was merely another act of violence. Godzilla has inside information suggesting the robbery was staged.

Celma sleeps with Genésio, and Marlene finds out. Fran's mother admits to stealing Marlene's car. Genésio attempts bribery and is arrested. Dona Marisa is arrested. Marlene asks her father for help getting Genésio out of jail. Josy considers having a child. Marlene's salon is robbed. Congressman Moacir apologizes to Genésio.

Marlene decides to host a big event at her father's house and invites friends over for a barbecue in grand style. With the best of intentions, she keeps everything casual—no fancy glassware or cutlery, and no one to wait on the guests. The only problem is that they expect the exact opposite and are far from pleased when they find themselves having to pitch in.

Marlene announces that the congressman will foot the bill for Genesinho's party. Bigode proposes having a child with Josy. Marlene helps Genésio make some money. Celma resorts to blackmail to get into the party. Celma chokes on a wedding ring hidden inside a *brigadeiro*. Celma and Marlene get into a scuffle in the ball pit. Marlene and Genésio sing "Happy Birthday" to Genesinho.

Marlene and Genésio’s days—or rather, hours—of single life are numbered. Godzila announces that the renovations on the couple's house are finally finished. And the news, which was meant to bring relief, ends up causing disappointment.

“The coolest guy around—a legend! A round of applause for the king of São Gonçalo nightlife, Genésio Silva!” announces the TV host while interviewing Genésio. Surrounded by beautiful young women, the owner of the region’s most famous nightclub is living his best life. Meanwhile, watching the broadcast from home, his wife Marlene is devastated, grappling with a major midlife crisis.

For years, Genésio has been betting on the same Mega Sena numbers without success. But this time, something tells him the wind is blowing in his favor. He organizes a group bet with his partners, Marreta and Godzila, and asks Marlene to go to the lottery shop to place the wager. As it happens, the hairdresser not only has little faith in her husband's luck but is also frantically trying to save her father's reputation.

Celma persisted until she finally managed to convince Congressman Moacir to marry her. But before facing the challenge of having her as First Lady, the politician will have to break the news of the wedding to Marlene. The hairdresser will be doubly disappointed: first, because her father is making his relationship official with her worst enemy, and second, because she herself never made it to the altar with Genésio.

After being shot at Jurema Hall in the previous episode, Genésio wakes up in a sort of limbo, where he encounters an angel—part street-smart hustler, part rapper—who bears his own likeness. Genésio asks for a second chance to change his fate: just 24 more hours of life, in exchange for which the emissary from the beyond would secure a much more impressive soul for his résumé. With this new opportunity, he does everything in his power to forge a new destiny.
