Clifford's Puppy Days

When their rather large new playmate, Bruno, plays a little rough, Clifford and Jorge start avoiding him. But then they realize how much they've hurt his feelings and decide to tell him the truth. The kids start a neighborhood newspaper.

While playing at the Dog Run, Clifford keeps getting reminded of how small he is. Finally his friends help him see the good things about being little. Norville claims that he knows where to find Aladdin's magic lamp, and everyone starts planning how they'll use their wishes.

Jorge digs up a shark-tooth necklace in the courtyard and can't understand why it is then returned to its owner. Since he found it, doesn't he get to keep it? Nina and Jorge become celebrities when they get their picture in the paper, then start acting differently and alienating their friends.

Clifford and Jorge get a little overzealous while trying to help EE and Nina win a sand castle contest, and EE has to explain that the object really is to have fun. When the kids go off to school, the puppies decide to have school, too—but it seems there are too many teachers and not enough students.

The kids decide to turn a vacant lot into a city garden and discover that a little cooperation helps the project go much more smoothly. Jenny replants a broken willow branch so that it can grow into a new tree, and the dogs decide to try the same thing with some parts of broken toys.

Evan's spooky tricks go a little too far, but he learns a lesson when Clifford accidentally gives him a real fright. At a camp-out party, unfamiliar sounds have Clifford too scared to go to sleep—until Norville comes to his rescue by helping him investigate the source of the sounds.

Clifford's plan to give Daffodil a surprise birthday party collapses, and he is afraid she'll be disappointed. Instead, she is touched by the trouble he and all her friends went to. Norville comes to stay with Emily Elizabeth and Clifford while he recovers from a wing injury, and Clifford grows tired of sharing his things and Emily's attention.

Nobody believes Clifford when he claims to have seen a huge flying dinosaur and an enormous floating teddy bear. Mr. Solomon's attempt to make his mom's favorite potato pancakes for Thanksgiving is a disaster, but his friends save the day.

Clifford promises to play with Lewis but then gets involved in a game that Lewis is too small to play. Then he realizes that Lewis has disappeared and has to find him and apologize. While babysitting for Emily Elizabeth, Evan mistakenly believes he has made Clifford disappear with his new magic trick kit.

The kittens accidentally break the menorah, and their attempts to fix it get a little "sticky." Zo can't resist sneaking in and opening all eight of his presents on the first night of Hanukkah, but he soon realizes that he's spoiled his own fun by taking the surprise out of each night.

Although it lacks high-tech robotics and glitz, Emily Elizabeth's presentation on how she cares for Clifford is the hit of Show and Tell. Daffodil tells the little Sidarsky kids a story that rabbits think is fascinating but discovers that she'll need to incorporate some new ideas to make it a hit with this new audience.

Clifford tries to be a hero to impress Emily Elizabeth, but soon learns that "my best friend in the whole world" is an even better title. Mrs. Z gives the kids candy canes, and they decide to make cookies to thank her.

Daffodil's stuffed bunny is missing, and Daffodil blames Clifford. Then Bubbles turns up in her toy basket, and Daffodil has to admit her own carelessness. Emily Elizabeth and her friends think they'll have to take it easy when they play against Mr. Solomon's wheelchair basketball team—but they're in for a surprise.

Clifford and Daffodil get very competitive over who can make Emily Elizabeth a better Valentine's Day gift. Meanwhile, Emily's excitement over the father-daughter/mother-son dance at the Community Center turns to anxiety when she realizes that she and her dad have to dance in front of a crowd.

When Clifford spots several strange things floating in the air, none of his friends believe him except Norville. The others just think he's imagining things, or worse, fibbing. But Clifford's insistence on believing his eyes turns out to be a big help.

Mr. Solomon plans to make potato pancakes for Thanksgiving, but it's his first time using his mother's recipe. The kids all volunteer to help, but things don't go as planned. Then, everyone comes up with a great idea for how they can still have pancakes.

Clfiford pays a visit to the laundry room and agrees to play with one of the Sidarsky children --- Lewis. The little mouse is happy to have someone to play with out, as he's often left out of the fun and games among his older siblings. However, he begins to feel left out again when Clifford goes off to play a game with Flo, Zo and Jorge.

Evan has a new magic kit and he brings it over when he comes to babysit Emily Elizabeth. Emily Elizabeth invites over Nina and when she goes to greet her, Evan practices a trick to make Clifford disappear. It's only a trick, but it seems that Clifford is nowhere to be found, Evan worries that he really did make him disappear.

Flo and Zo are excited about opening a big, big present for Hanukah. Clifford pays a visit to their festivities and they play some fun Hanukah games. All the play, however, causes Mr. Solomon's menorah to be broken. While he goes in search of a new one, Clifford, Flo and Zo try to figure out how to repair the old one.

Zo loves Hanukah, but is annoyed by having to wait night after night for eight days to get new presents. Temptation gets the better of him and he opens them all. At first he has no problem with it, but then becomes depressed because there are no surprises left. Flo shows what a great sister she is by helping Zo out.

Clifford doesn't even realize it's Valentine's Day until Norville tells him. Norville notes that he's seen Jorge, Flo and Zo and Evan all giving Valentine's Day gifts and he's even working on a necklace for his Mom. Clifford decides to make a gift for Emily Elizabeth, but Daffodil sees what he's doing and makes an even fancier gift. Pretty soon, it's an all-out competition to see who can give Emily Elizabeth the better gift.

Valentine's Day brings with it the school Sweethearts Dance. Emily Elizabeth is excited about attending for the first time (and dancing with her father), but soon becomes nervous. Her best friends all know fancy dances, but she doesn't know how to dance at all. She considers skipping the dance when she isn't helped much by a book she checks out from the library on dancing.
